Nightfall: Will there finally be white dye!?
With paragons having lots of white/gold holy-ish stuff, you think MAYBE anet will wise up and make some white dye >.> because honestly the YSSS combo only works on just a select few leather armors of some classes, mainly the druids set o_o... its a like bright silverish gray on kurzick rit. but it did become a VERY NICE gold color on my 15k geo >.>
WE BEEN BARKING FOR WHITE DYE FOR MONTHS! GIMME!
we havent had a white dye thread in a while o.o thought i would start up one more

From the looks of it, it seems that the Gold parts are the parts that dye. It would be nice to see white dye though, even though it would be expensive.

And if it is more rare than black, it will probably stay there or raise. If it is more common, within a month, it will probably go down to normal dye price.

The white is either the base color of the Paragon armor (and thus effected by dye) or it's the 'control' color like the black on necro armor. I personally think it's the latter.
It would suck if they came out with white dye. It would be sold out for weeks on end after it's release and the price would sky-rocket. It would become yet another get-rich tool for the wealthy who can afford to stock pile will the prices are in the 1-5k range and sell when they are in the 8-13k range.
Everyone wants white, if it did come out, half the people who are asking for it would never see it.
That's my take on it anyway.

Have you ever seen the vail for the typical white dye mix? It looks like a dirty, faded yellow.
IF they came out with white dye, the contents of the vail would probably look white. So I wouldn't worry about scams.
Furthermore, S+Y+S+S is labeld "Vail of Dye [Mixed]" which would be a dead give away.

It has a pink fleshy hue to it, it's more noticable on some others than others. It's also kind of dull.

I hope they don't have white dye.
Btw, as far as I know there is no such thing as white dye, it's called bleech, and it affects all materials differently. I've a green bathmat that I accidently spilt cleaner on, it now has some lemon yellow/off-white spots now. I've a blue cleaning cloth that has the same thing, a yellow one that went bright white, and a red one that did some funky purple/pink thing.

Mixed dyes show up as Mixed dye.
White would have a text indicating that it is white.
No problem of scams,

The reason why people still scam imitation dyes is because there are still idiot people willing to buy it...

The white is probably the armor texture. The gold highlights are the dyed areas.

hmm, is that the reson why scammers where able to sell INK as black dye, and ppl bought it.
5g insted of 5K and such scams are not really scams it's playing on ppl's stupidity, same as giving mixed dye as white dye.

I still think we should be able to dye different parts of our armor for total customization.
But bleach would be the way to go.
On black, bleach turns a light brown. but bleach mixed with silver might make white.
They should have names for certain mixed dye....
When you mix the right colors together, then there should be a named dye you can make, instead of all just mixed vials of dye.
note: not all mixes will result in a name, only certain few, that would be the way to go.
